Avinor AS is the Norwegian Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) and provides Instrument Flight Procedure Design Services to all Norwegian aerodromes, both public and private. Since 1998, with the opening of Oslo Airport, Avinor Instrument Flight Procedure Design Services has piecemeal initiated the transition from conventional navigation to Performance Based Navigation for the Norwegian aviation environment.

Our Instrument Flight Procedure Design team incorporates expertise in essential aviation related areas such as Air Traffic Control, ARINC 424, Cartography, commercial piloting and Airspace Design. This knowledge, combined with expert Instrument Flight Procedure Design knowledge, enable us to create safe, efficient and innovative solutions for the Norwegian airspace users. Several members of the Avinor Instrument Flight Procedure Design team participate in international panels, which allows us to both access and influence upcoming changes to the regulations governing Instrument Flight Procedure Design.
